Three kidnappers are killed and a victim is rescued after police raid a criminal hideout in Adamawa.
The Adamawa State Police Command raided a criminal hideout at Husa mountain in the state’s Hong Local Government Area and killed three suspected kidnappers.
DSP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the command’s spokesperson, said in a statement that its operatives accomplished the feat with the assistance of local hunters.
During the operation, an AK-47 rifle, an army camouflage uniform, chains, pardlocks, and charms were recovered, according to him.
“On November 5, 2022, the Command will disconnect the criminal network at HUSA Mountain, which connects parts of Kala’a, Mijili, and Mutuku Villages in the Hong local government area,” Nguroje said.
“The operation carried out by the Command operatives attached to Kala’a Division and the Hunters at Husa Mountain, which is located at a remote side of Kulinyi District in Hong local government, yielded positive results.” “The outcome of these successes follow-up on strategy designed by the command to checkmate cases bordering on kidnapping, armed robbery, cattle rustling, unlawful possession of firearms, and others.”
While commending Dpo Kala’a, his men, and hunters for disconnecting the crime network and displaying gallantry, the state’s Commissioner of Police, CP SK Akande, directed other DPOs to do the same as a strategy for combating crimes and criminals in their areas of responsibility.
