The Race for the 2023 Presidential elections continue to take an Interesting turn and the catalyst for this Interesting change could be said to be the turn of a New Year but everything points down to when former Lagos State Governor, Bola Ahmed Tinubu disclosed to Nigerians that President Muhammadu Buhari was aware of his Presidential ambitions.
Hence come 2023 unless a series of interesting and definitely shocking events occur, Bola Ahmed Tinubu might just be the candidate to beat at the Presidential Election polls.
Just because the National leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has made known his Presidential intentions albeit unofficially hasn’ t prevented other Prominent politicians in the same or opposing party (PDP) from also declaring their intentions. Senator Orji Uzor Kalu is one who seems to be gathering steam and relishing the in party battle between himself and Jagaban of Lagos State.
The former Abia State Governor disclosed recently to Nigerians that he will definitely be contesting for the APC Presidential ticket even going on to state that despite the fanfare behind Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the former Lagos State Governor does not infact own the All Progressives Congress, APC. In a report by Sahara Reporters, Orji Uzor Kalu appeared on Arise TV during a programme and stated that, ” I don’ t own the party, neither does Bola Tinubu or any other person in the party. The party is owned by the Nigerian people and they are the only people; in a democratic set up, majority always have their way” .
He would also go on to reveal that he did not disrespect President Muhammadu Buhari by not informing him of his Presidential ambitions as others had done stating that in his opinion it was not yet time as he wanted to be sure that the South East would be the zoned the 2023 Presidency.
