President Muhammadu Buhari sent condolences to King Sunny Ade’ s family following the death of Hon. Risikat Ajoke Adegeye.

In a press release, the Adegeye family announced that the Juju Musician’ s wife, Hon. Risikat Ajoke Adegeye, passed away yesterday. Although the cause of her death is unknown, Vanguard reports that it could have been caused by cancer, which she had been battling for a long period before her death.

President Muhammadu Buhari said in a message released on the Facebook page of his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, that the former congressman lived an outstanding life and would be greatly missed.

The President expresses his condolences to the Lagos State Government, members of the House of Assembly, her friends, and political partners, asking them to put their faith in God during this trying time.

Another policeman killed as gunmen invade Abuja hotel


A police officer was killed and a civilian was injured in a hotel attack in Tungan- Maje, an FCT suburb, by a group of roughly 15 gunmen.

The gunmen entered the hotel on the outskirts of town around 10 p. m. on Tuesday, according to a local named Yunusa.

According to him, a team of police officers who had been informed to the situation stormed the hotel and engaged the gunmen in a gun battle, in which one police officer was killed and another, a civilian, was injured.


According to City News, this is the second time the hotel has been targeted by gunmen; a similar event occurred in June of this year, when nine individuals were taken, including the hotel’ s owner, staff, and guests.

When contacted, DSP Josephine Adeh, a spokesman for the FCT Police Command, verified the occurrence, stating that the officer slain was a sergeant.
