I’ll Announce My New Party On Tuesday-Shina.

A member of the House of Representatives representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa Federal Constituency, Honourable Shina Abiola Peller, has announced he will name his new political party on Tuesday, June 21.

Peller made this known on Friday via his official Twitter handle. Peller, who is an indigene of Iseyin in Oke Ogun geo-political zone in Oyo State, dumped the All Progressives Congress, APC, via a letter addressed to the chairman of his ward.

Osinbajo Calls For More US Support.

Osinbajo stated this when he received at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, the visiting Under Secretary for Political Affairs, US State Department, Victoria Nuland, alongside a US delegation including its Ambassador to Nigeria, Ambassador Mary Beth Leonard.

The significance of free, fair and peaceful elections, improving security in the Sahel region, and the adoption of gas as a transition fuel in developing countries, among other issues of mutual interests, were discussed at the meeting.

The Vice President also noted President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration’s commitment to tackling the country’s security challenges and ensuring free, fair and peaceful elections.

Fr Mbaka Apologizes To Obi And His Supporters.

The Spiritual Director, Adoration Ministry Enugu, Nigeria, Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka, on Friday, tendered a public apology to the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi and his supporters over his utterances against his person.

The Catholic Diocese of Enugu State had, shortly after his comment on Wednesday during his midweek activities declared that Obi will not become Nigeria’s President, for the reason that he is ‘stingy’, disowned him.

However, Mbaka on Friday tendered an unreserved public apology to Obi and his supporters in a letter he personally signed.

Why Tinubu Nominated Masari As Running Mate-APC chieftain, Faskari.

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has given reasons the ruling party nominated Kabiru Ibrahim Masari as the running mate to its presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

Masari’s name was reportedly submitted by the APC to meet the deadline by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Speaking on the development, a chieftain of the APC, Kabiru Faskari in an interview with Channels TV on Friday mentioned that the decision of Masari as Tinubu’s running mate is majorly that of the presidential candidate.

He added that Masari has a very good relationship with Tinubu and would add value to his ticket as someone who is knowledgeable politically in the grassroots.

Gunmen Attack Bauchi Communities.

Gunmen suspected to be bandits on Thursday launched an attack on the Alkaleri Local Government Area of Bauchi state and killed four people. Three others were injured.

The PUNCH reports that Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed hails from Alkaleri LGA.

The youths from the village and surrounding villages were said to immediately mobilise themselves and resisted them and they were unable to go with the abducted people. But the suspected bandits, seeing that their mission had failed, then opened fire on the large number of the youths that resisted them and killed four of them while three sustained varying degrees of injuries.
