President Muhammadu Buhari today marked the Eid-el-Kabir with his close associates and family members at the prestigious Aso Rock Villa in Abuja.
He was seen engaging in prayers and other activities while wearing a mask for the second time since the coronavirus pandemic.
Buhari disclosed that he observed the prayers and celebrations with family members in line with the directives from the Presidential taskforce on COVID-19 and the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs.
In a tweet on his verified Twitter handle, Buhari wrote: “I observed the Eid-El-Kabir prayers at home with my family, this morning, in keeping with the advisories from the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 and the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs. Once again I wish us all a safe and happy Eid. #EidMubarak.”
Recall that Buhari had announced that he wasn’t going to be celebrating the Eid-el-Kabir without visitors.
