Upon being asked whether he was alarmed by the development, Mr. Tinubu responded, ” No. This is because I had a strong understanding of financial matters. I was overjoyed. I used the money to buy a house and put the rest of it into investments in the United States. Mr. Tinubu stated that after completing his degree in Chicago, he returned to the United States and worked for several years in the country. He began his career as a consultant with Deloitte and Touche before returning to Nigeria to work as an accounting executive for Mobil Oil.
