UNBELIEVABLE! ! Human Rights Group Reveals The Real Reason President Buhari Is Concerned About Niger Republic

With the high rate of insecurity confronting the nation, many expect that the Buhari- led administration will invest more resources in making sure security of lives and properties is achieved, but the recent donation of the Nigerian government to the Niger Republic has made groups and individuals question how President Muhammadu Buhari prioritizes the safety and welfare of the people he governs. Note that the capital of the country, Abuja, has been experiencing a series of attacks from terrorists who have also issued numerous threats.

According to Independent News, a civil rights advocacy group, Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria (HURIWA), on Thursday, carpeted the president for his donation of 10 SUVs worth N1. 15 billion to the Niger Republic. The national coordinator of the group, Emmanuel Onwubiko, said that what the President has revealed is one that reeks of nepotism and shows where his allegiance and patriotism lie.

He stressed that Buhari’ s patriotism towards the desert country is evident in his many construction projects that have linked Nigeria to Niger. He added that the president’ s actions, just like many others he has done, are antithetical to the oaths of office he swore to because he has allowed his own personal interests to undermine the national interest. The countries bordering the country are Libya to the northeast; Chad to the east; Nigeria is to the south; Benin Republic and Burkina Faso are to the southwest; Mali is to the west; and Algeria is to the northwest.
