It was reported that some suspected members of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, raided Joe Igbokwe’ s resident in Nnewi, Anambra State and set it ablaze. This unfortunate incident provoked the reaction of a number of Nigerians.
At a time when the southeastern Nigerian region is being attacked by unidentified gunmen, the special assistant to the Lagos state governor on Drainage and Water Resources matters and the Spokesperson for the All Progressive Congress APC, Engineer Joe Igbokwe took to his Facebook handle to announce that the IPOB stormed and razed his house in Nnewi, Anambra State.
Igbokwe strongly criticised the allegations of violence and extremism by the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, this group is headed by Nnamdi Kanu.
Earlier in this year, He disclosed that Kanu tell his men to cut his head off wherever he is found in the country.
The exceptionally boisterous APC supporter, and special adviser to the Lagos State governor on drainage and water resources, Joe Igbokwe and a strong supporter of President Muhammadu Buhari’ s administration, Because of his outstanding achievements in the nation in the last six years. He believes the president has been more successful than many of his predecessors in the country.
Igbokwe is an Igbo man, but never liked the activities of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB in the southeast region, and always speak against them via its social networks.
Don’ t forget, lately, members of IPOB and ESN allegedly threatened to deal with the Lagos- based politician for constantly criticising their murderous activities in the South East region of Nigeria.
There have been reports of Joe Igbokwe spoke out against the alleged activities of members of the illegal group, IPOB.
He accused them of being responsible for a number of high- profile murders in the southeastern part of the country. However, a spokesman for the IPOB has denied that his group is not the cause of the unrest in the southern region.
Today, it looks that the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB members have remembered him.
From my point of view, This attack on Joe Igbokwe’ s house is a bad thing and should be condemned. It is a warning signal to the governors of the southeast on the safety situation in the area as soon as possible.
