A friend of the man, who posted the video, wrote the Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, on his Twitter handle complaining about the incident.

His tweet was acknowledged by Hundeyin who disclosed that the policemen had been identified and were from the Dolphin Division, adding that they had been asked to report at the command’s headquarters.

However, on Thursday, they reported at the headquarters and were promptly handed over to the Provost for disciplinary action.

According to the Police PRO who announced the development on his Twitter handle on Thursday, after facing disciplinary action in Lagos, they are expected to be taken to the Force Headquarters, Abuja, for further disciplinary measures.

According to his tweets: “The officers reported today. They have been handed over to the Provost for disciplinary action, pending their transfer to Force Headquarters, Abuja, for further disciplinary measures. The video clearly shows assault on the part of the officer.

“Further, it was established that there was no extortion, neither was there any arrest/detention. Further updates will be provided.”
