WAHALA: Joe Igbokwe Tackles Igbos, Says Bullying And Abuse Cannot Help Their Politics In Nigeria

The demand for a power shift to the Southeastern region of the country has been completely ignored by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party since the race for the presidency began several months ago in the country. This is one issue that has continued to be a topic of debate in the country.

In response to the situation, Engineer Joe Igbokwe, a chieftain in the ruling APC, took to social media to give Igbos advice on how to further their cause of electing a president in Nigeria in the near future.

Igbokwe, the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Drainage and Water Resources, stated in a post on his Facebook page that the Igbos cannot use intimidation or bully to force other regions to give them power, but rather, it will take a different approach to accomplish the goal.

He contends that Igbo politicians must forge ties with their colleagues in other sections of the nation and offer them a hand of friendship. Chief Igbokwe continued by saying that this is how politics function in the twenty- first century.

He said, ” Bulling, pouring of invectives, abuse, hate and bigotry cannot help Igbo politics in Nigeria but building friendship, building bridges of love, and extending hands of fellowship to other Nigerians. This is the way to go in the 21st Century. “
