Afenifere Leader, Pa Ayo Adebanjo was interviewed today on Channels TV political and current affairs program, Politics Today. The interview was about the recent statement made by President Muhammadu Buhari on his official Twitter handle and the call for restructuring.
When Seun Okin asked the Afenifere leader of his opinion about the statement made by President Muhammadu Buhari that he will treat secession agitators in the language they understand, Pa Ayo Adebanjo said that he wasn’t surprise when he read it. According to him, he warned Nigerians in 2015 on voting Buhari as the President of Nigeria but they went ahead to vote for him.
He stated that Buhari is a Military General, who is a dictator and has no respect for the rule of law. Pa Adebanjo said that President Muhammadu Buhari is working against the unity of the country which he claims to care for.
The Yoruba leader asked if President Buhari toured the 36 states of the country when he was seeking for votes to tell Nigerians that he will oppress them and disobey the rule of law. He regretted that President Muhammadu Buhari has not done much in the Northern Nigeria where Boko Haram insurgents and bandits have killed many people.
On restructuring the country, the Afenifere leader recalled that APC in its manifesto in 2015 promised to restructure the country. He also added that El-Rufai in 2018 also said that they will restructure the country.
